“ The ambience here is amazing, especially at night. There’s a mix of bar seating and table seating, so it works whether you’re stopping in for a drink or sitting down for a full meal. The menu offers a wide range of options, though as a tourist from America, I found myself sticking mostly to familiar choices. I started with the fresh oysters, which were enjoyable and nicely presented. I also ordered the truffle mac and cheese; it was tasty, but for my personal preference, it leaned a bit too heavy on the cheese. The vegan tacos were the biggest miss for me. They were overloaded with sauces—around four or five different ones, which made the taco fall apart before you could even fold it. The dominant flavor ended up being sauce rather than anything else. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed the place enough to return the next day for brunch. The French toast was pretty good and a solid brunch option. One practical thing to note: like many places in that area, Urban House doesn’t accept American Express, so be sure to have another form of payment. The bathrooms were a bit creepy, though interestingly, the area just outside of them would actually make a great spot for photos. Overall, despite a few food-related downsides, when it comes to ambience, Urban House truly shines and is worth checking out while in Bratislava. ”

“ Loved it here. Went in for lunch on a Friday, it was pretty quiet in there, but the atmosphere was still nice. Our lunch was delicious. They have lots of vegetarian options and the drinks were spectacular. I wish we could’ve gone back for dinner, but we were heading out out of the city. ”
